Class so far…

8th graders,

I wanted to send you a quick note and let everyone know that we’ll begin our jobs next week.  So, all the teaching points and homework will be posted on the blog starting Monday.  I’ll be hard at work over the weekend getting all the jobs set up AND setting up our email lists.

 I also wanted to let you know how proud I am of everyone’s hard work so far this year.  In class I’ve been seeing a lot of thinking and collaborating going on.  If three days we’ve already accomplished the foundations for our community.  Those classes that had a chance to read independently today (803, I’m talking to you!) did a great job.  We read for 25 minutes straight!  It was awesome to see everyone getting lost in their books.
